The Last Chapter..Almost

Here I am, waiting to go to college, one last time. Not that my course is ending, but these are the last 4 months I will be spending within the confines of BITS Pilani Goa Campus. This is my last semester here. After roughly 3.5 years in this place, you have a sense of belonging, and a certain comfort level. I could close my eyes and walk around the campus and not bump into a single pillar (hopefully :P )
This is how familiar this place has become to me, I know everyone here, the students, faculty, the guards, the laundry guy, the mess people, everyone and now they have come to know me too, not by my name but yeah, they do remember me.

Once you enter the gates, it like electric, you get to learn so much here, everyone single person has something to offer, something that you wouldn't know. This place never says no to any dream, you a desire a passion for something, this place will help you out! I have seen people launch into different directions from here.

This place has given me so much, it has made me who I am today. I still remember the first time I stepped inside the campus, and in one look it does not feel like a college. With the lake on one side and the river on the other, the slanted roofs covered with algae, the tall coconut trees. and my first reaction was. wrong choice dude, now I will have to live here for the next 4 years of my life. And now as I begin my last chapter here, I realise how incredibly wrong I was about this place. I entered the gates as a timid, underconfident, tomboyish girl and 3 years, some 40 courses, a few great friends, and infinite outings later here is the new me. The more confident, not so timid, much more mature with a hopefully decent dressing sense, me is here. And I feel happy about all that happened, the missed lectures, the late night studying, the corridor drama, the room switching, the fights, everything has led me to this point right here. If I had a chance to do it all over again, I would do the exact same thing. (maybe except study a bit more :P )

As I lay on my bed staring at the roof, I jut hope this last semester is just as good, with a little bit of everything, I hope to enjoy this last chapter to the fullest, doing all sorts of things, ( I do have a bucket list). This may sound like a cliche, but engineering here does not feel like a course or a degree, it is an experience, to remember and cherish.
