Sometimes, Stop and look around

We get lost in the tailings of daily life. The laundry that is becoming a mountain, the fridge that needs restocking, and the Roomba that needs to be cleaned. And on top of all of this, there is Mark Zuckerberg trying his fucking best to make you addicted to a social media platform that is known to induce anxiety, fear, and loneliness in people.
So we don’t have time.

Or so we think.

I think sometimes we need to take a giant, deep breath and just look around. Look at where you are. Look at what you have achieved. Appreciate it. Appreciate it not because, oh look, other people don’t even have this, but because, hey, look at you. You got here.

You dreamed of being here. You worked to get here. And you did.

Take a beat and enjoy it.

Somewhere between the laundry and the traffic, we have genuinely forgotten how to enjoy the things we once desperately wanted.

For instance, I have been working at Accenture Strategy for about 4–5 months now. I had been applying here for almost three years and had probably never got a call back. Then, on 9 December 2025, right before I was going to Goa, I got the call.

I went through the interviews, and look where I am now.
Sitting on the first floor of the Accenture Strategy office in Cyberhub, writing a blog.

I made it here.

I have a badge around my neck that says I work in Accenture Strategy. And that was a very big deal for me. Especially because I don’t have an MBA. I had never celebrated it. I never really let it sink in that I am here.
So I want to deliberately take a moment, once in a while, to appreciate that I am here.

In the middle of setting new goals, chasing the next thing, worrying about what comes next, and dealing with all the shit that life throws at us, I want to remember to look around.

Because sometimes, the life you are busy complaining about is the life you once desperately wanted.

Take a beat.

Look around.

You made it here.

Enjoy it.

  1. In many ways the constant chase is what makes us forget. The goal posts always move. And that steals the joy of celebrating what one has already achieved.
